Troubleshooting · Singapore aircon guide
Why is my aircon not cold?
Common causes, safe checks and when to arrange a diagnosis.
First checks you can make
Confirm the temperature setting, operating mode and fan speed. Check whether doors and windows are closed and whether the filter is visibly clogged. If only one indoor unit is affected, mention that when arranging a diagnosis.
What may cause weak cooling
Restricted airflow, a dirty coil, an outdoor-unit problem, sensor faults and refrigerant loss can produce similar symptoms. Refrigerant does not normally need routine topping up; low pressure can indicate a leak that should be investigated.
When servicing may help
Routine aircon servicing may improve cooling when dust and restricted airflow are the cause. Error codes, ice, repeated shutdowns or cooling that stays weak after cleaning point to diagnosis rather than repeated general servicing.
What to share when enquiring
Provide the aircon brand, approximate age, number of affected units, recent servicing history and clear photos or a short video where helpful. Note whether the issue affects one unit or the whole system.
