Chemical wash vs chemical overhaul
The difference in scope, when each is useful and what to ask before booking.
Routine service comes first
General servicing covers normal cleaning and operating checks. A deeper treatment should be recommended because the unit's condition requires it, not simply as an automatic upgrade.
Chemical wash
A chemical wash targets stubborn buildup on selected internal parts and usually involves more dismantling than routine servicing. The exact scope can vary, so ask which components will be removed and cleaned.
Chemical overhaul
An overhaul is a more intensive strip-down for severe contamination, recurring drainage trouble or major performance loss. Confirm inclusions, exclusions, chemical handling and testing before approving the work.
What to share when enquiring
Provide the aircon brand, approximate age, number of affected units, recent servicing history and clear photos or a short video where helpful. Note whether the issue affects one unit or the whole system.
