Maintenance · Singapore aircon guide
How often should you service an aircon?
A practical schedule for Singapore homes, rentals and busy offices.
Base the interval on usage
An aircon used every night gathers dust and condensation faster than a guest-room unit used occasionally. Long operating hours, high occupancy, pets and nearby cooking can all justify more frequent checks.
Watch performance between visits
Washable filters can be checked according to the manufacturer's instructions. Falling airflow, slower cooling, new odours, noise or drainage changes are reasons to bring a service forward rather than wait for a calendar date.
Homes, rentals and workplaces
Landlords and tenants should follow their tenancy agreement and retain service records. Offices, shops and other commercial spaces benefit from a plan based on operating hours, system type and disruption risk.
What to share when enquiring
Provide the aircon brand, approximate age, number of affected units, recent servicing history and clear photos or a short video where helpful. Note whether the issue affects one unit or the whole system.
